Well Spanked Man

Twilight’s inconsiderate neighbor, Darren, let his dog roam again. Aside from engaging in its regular habit of chasing her poor cat, that damned mutt also got into the trash strewing it throughout the garage.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Surely regular readers of my blog might have noticed that… uhmmm… well, yeah, no recent posts. Now, in my defense I had been rather laid up with a re-injured neck over the winter. But its not winter anymore. Hasn’t snowed in at least two weeks.

So, Twilight grabbed a heavy duty leather strap and her camera. She then gave my all too neglected behind a good tanning and took a quick picture. I have absolutely no excuse not to blog it, as she has reminded me. I think she was serious when she threatened to cane me naked and outside if I don’t blog it right away.So here it is, along with a promise of more regular updates in the future

Two weeks ago we were utterly miserable under the burden of, supposedly, the hardest winter in the past three decades. Twilight was perpetually cold, bundled into layers of sweaters and wearing a hat, even inside. I had reinjured my neck two months prior to the storms which nearly trapped us up on the mountain where we are building our cabin. We often joked about fleeing winter and heading for a warmer, tropical, climate. Then I caught a bad cold, my neck getting worse rather than better. The Bahamas? Hawaii? We shouldn’t spend the money. Fuck it, money is useless if you can’t spend it.

We’re now a week into our tropical escape, my cold has vanished and my neck barely hurts. Beaches and jungle surround us. “Time for you to have a good spanking,” Twilight tells me… and she was right, it had been too long. So, along the rocky shore she sent me to go cut a switch. It was warm outside and soon my bottom was hot with searing welts. OUCH! But at least I wasn’t tromping through a snowdrift.

We have been incredibly busy this past month. Winter is coming and we are busting out what work we can on the cabin, while we still can. Once it starts dropping below freezing regularly we will no longer be able to do certain things, like the stucco. We just had a bit of snow four days ago- eek.

I’ve been putting a great deal of time into the paysite too. The script I planned to use never did work right, and since it was commercial and encrypted I just threw it out. Instead we’re now using a customization of various open source tools, at least if those break I can fix them. I expect Bad Boy Spanking to be live by early November, it is definitely on the way!

We’ve still been shooting, and I’ve still been editing. I just learned how to do multi camera editing. We got a second camera! Yippie! For new shoots we are now using a D90 D-SLR for B-roll footage,. Its not as crisp as I would like and its strange to work with, but it allows for better control over what is and is not in focus- something that could previously only be done on a non-film-studio-level with an expensive adapter, rails, monitor, etc - basically a whole indy film-making rig. Now I can do it with a normal sized camera body.

Occasionally in my collection of spanking pictures I will see a shot of the “set”. So, today I decided to share a couple of shots of our set, a nice suite we rented while traveling, along with a couple of frame grabs shot from those cameras.

The online auction made it sound so great. Affordable land IS hard to come by, even on the internet. So I thought we should go check it out. Of course, the description didn’t show all the trash on the property, BUT I still didn’t think it was too bad for the price. Twilight disagreed and was not amused by the “waste of a perfectly good afternoon” spent driving down “roads unfit for a fucking mule to walk down”. Time for some new spanking pictures! We did this shoot a month ago, but things have been so busy that I’ve just now finished editing the video. I can just see our next shoot, “Spanked for not blogging enough!”, or not…

The brakes on our car started squeaking, but I thought they could wait. Within just a few short weeks they started grinding- then the car spent three days in the shop! The repair bill was much larger than it would have been if I’d just have taken it it when Twilight first suggested. So, it was time for a harsh punishment!

Editing one of our recent video shoots I had to stop and pull some stills for this spanking blog. The images were too beautiful to wait until movie was finished. Actually, another movie clip was supposed to come before these, but I was so shocked at how well the lighting and cinematography worked in parts that I had to share these stills now.

When we shoot a video, obviously, there are lights, a basic plot, camera angles and planning involved. We like to pull snippets of fact from our real lives, twisting them around to create a fantasy that is at once both fun and poignant. A surprising amount of truth ends up in our videos, which are on the face fictional.

For this video the premise was that I forgot Twilight telling me about plans to see “The Vagina Monologues”, so when she came in, already running late, I was not even dressed to go out. Indeed, I so blanked out our early morning conversation that I planned to gallery hopping. Twilight, already hurt by my lackadaisical attitude towards an event she had anticipated for the past week, became truly upset when I referred to her missed show as “a bunch of hairy lesbians talking about their pussies”.

It was time for a spanking, and a good one at that. Shortly, I found myself upon the dining table receiving the just reward for my flippancy and cheek. I’ve read longingly as a few other spanking bloggers mention the end of Winter, but here in the high desert (or alpine valley which it is also) Spring has come all too late. We just had what I hope is our last snow storm, its been an uncommonly harsh Winter, and its sunny and warm and distinctly no longer Winter. Yippie!

We often go on hikes, and of course on a goodly portion of those hikes your’s truly gets a switching. Going through my hard drive I found this picture from one of those hikes two summers ago in the nearby mountains. Wow! When that picture was taken I had no idea that we’d be making spanking videos, and even now starting a small membership site.

We just got back from a long and grueling weekend of shoots. This after a few days of car problems. I really did fuck up the brakes, which was the subject of one of my 3 good hard spankings for the shoots. That shoot was odd, but fun I suppose, and it helped to cover the location and travel expenses even if it wasn’t really our thing. The clip store is helping too but we aren’t quite breaking even yet, and that is before equipment costs. But we are getting closer to starting up the paysite, and I am really psyched about that.

I am also proud of how our videos are coming along. I studied photography years ago in college, but this project is the first real video project either of us have done. Already, I feel we are producing very good work and without the deficiencies I believe plague most F/m spanking porn. We are hoping to have a model call soon, to get an occasional shoot for the site with a fresh face. Yes, all talent will show faces, and actually all talent will be paid too… which is fair but NOT standard as Prefectdt and Pandora Blake have both recently blogged.
